# Predictions

> Trade Yes and No shares on real-world outcomes, priced from 0 to 100 cents and settled at $1 per winning share.

Prediction markets let you trade the outcome of real-world events: stock and commodity prices, crypto, economic data, sports, and more. Each market is a question with two sides, usually Yes and No. Prices move between 0 and 100 cents and read as the market's probability for that side. When the event resolves, every winning share pays \$1.

Find them at [hyperdash.com/predictions](https://hyperdash.com/predictions), or open the **Predictions** tab in the asset search (`⌘K` or `Ctrl+K`).

## How a market works

> [card] Price is probability
>
> A Yes share at 30¢ means the market prices a 30% chance of Yes. Prices range from 0.001¢ to 99.999¢.

> [card] Winners pay \$1
>
> At settlement each winning share pays $1 and each losing share pays nothing, so a 30¢ Yes returns $1 if Yes happens.

> [card] Fully collateralized
>
> Shares are bought with spot USDC. There is no leverage and no liquidation: the most you can lose is what you paid.

Some sides carry other names, such as Up and Down or the two teams in a match. Questions with several possible answers group a Yes/No market for each named outcome under one event.

## Finding markets

> [card] [Featured](https://hyperdash.com/predictions)
>
> The top four events in each category, ranked by 24h volume.

> [card] Categories
>
> All Markets, then Stocks, Commodities, Crypto, Economics, Sports, and Other.

> [card] Filters
>
> Narrow by Yes probability, closing time (24h, 7d, 30d), 24h volume, and open interest. Show prices in cents or percent, and view a category as a list or a grid.

Each event page shows the odds chart (Event Odds), every market in the event, the order book, Top Traders, your positions and open orders, and the order ticket. Markets on a price, such as a stock closing above a level, can also chart the underlying price.

## Placing a trade

**1. Pick a side**

Open an event, choose a market, stay on **Buy**, and pick the Yes or No side.

**2. Set the size**

Enter an amount in USD or a number of shares, or use a percentage of your balance. Orders fill in whole shares, and the minimum order is \$10.

**3. Check the payout and confirm**

The ticket shows **To win**: what your shares pay if your side wins, and the profit on top of your cost.

You need spot USDC in a connected terminal wallet. If your balance is short, the ticket shows **Not enough spot balance**.

### Order types

| Order type | How it works |
| - | - |
| Market | Fills right away against the book, within a maximum slippage you set in cents (2¢ by default, adjustable from 0.5¢ to 10¢). |
| Limit | Rests in the book at your price in cents until it fills or you cancel it. |
| Scale | Places 2 to 20 limit orders across a price range in one ticket. |
| Convert | Splits 1 USDC into 1 Yes and 1 No share, or merges a Yes and a No back into 1 USDC. On events with several outcomes, **Merge Question** and **Negate Outcome** convert between outcomes. |

Open orders cannot be edited: cancel the order and place it again.

## Managing positions

Your prediction positions appear in the **Predictions** tab of the terminal's positions table, on the Predictions panel, on your profile, and on each event page. Each row shows the prediction, size, value, entry price, current price, PnL, and when it settles.

> [card] Sell
>
> Sell shares back into the market at any time before settlement, with a market or limit order.

> [card] Reverse
>
> Sell your shares at market, then buy the same number of the other side.

> [card] Hold to settlement
>
> Keep the shares until the event resolves. Each winning share converts to \$1 USDC automatically.

## Settlement

Every market has a set expiry or settles when its event happens. In the last hour before expiry the countdown turns red; trading stays open until expiry. After expiry, trading pauses while Hyperliquid settles the market, and the market then shows the payout per share: \$1 for a winning share in a standard Yes/No market.

Winning shares convert to USDC automatically. There is nothing to claim: the position leaves your table once it pays out. The **Market rules** on each event page explain exactly how that market resolves.

## Fees

Prediction trades pay Hyperliquid's spot trading fee plus the Hyperdash builder fee of 0.03%. Your ticket shows the exact fee before you confirm. See [Fees, Referrals & Rewards](https://docs.hyperdash.com/fees-referrals-rewards.md).
