# Direct Sentry Peering

> A private, whitelisted peer connection between your Hyperliquid node and Hyperdash sentry infrastructure.

Teams running their own Hyperliquid nodes depend on peers for market data. Public gossip peers are capacity-constrained, disconnect without notice, and degrade under load.
